Farewell Friends

Last Saturday evening we gathered and enjoyed some good food together as we celebrated and recalled how God has worked through T&B and have impacted each of us and this community through their faithfulness to His call. We ate, we shared, we wept, and then we laid hands on them and covered them in prayer. They leave Thursday morning for a country far, far away on a two-year mission.

What an example you have been for us in how to walk by faith and trust and obedience to God.

"You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." (2 Cor. 3:2-3)

Pressing on Toward the Goal

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:12-14)

Go with God, dear friends. We will continue to lift you up in prayer until we shall see you again, face-to-face.
